There are a variety of different cultures and beliefs which surround tea. One of these can be Ayurveda. Ayurveda ( eye-your-vay-duh) is an ancient Hindu method of health care. The word “ayurveda” in Sanskrit, Ayuh, refers to life in the sense of energy, and Veda means wisdom. So, Ayurveda is the science of living. It’s a lifetime practice where the person actively participates in their healing.
Ayurveda is about balancing the elements of water, earth, and air. It is about balancing the elements of fire, philosophy, and ether in your body and mind and knowing how this harmony affects your overall health. The balancing process is a method of living a healthy lifestyle.
“It’s an approach which isn’t intended to be a quick-fix cure or preventative strategy but a technique that you should include for the majority of time in order to see the results. It’s a long process, you’re unlikely to see results in one day, like you would with pharmaceutical medicine. It’s a method and a way of life that you make to benefit yourself from a health standpoint,” said Kunall Patel, the co-owner and owner of Davidson’s Organics.
Patel has a connection personal to Ayurveda. He was raised on Ayurvedic medicine at home. “I have changed my lifestyle in how I eat, how I sleep, how I travel, the choices that I make, the drinks that I choose, what food I buy, based on the lifestyle of Ayurveda.”
“We wanted to introduce a line of functional teas to our customers.” Patel added, “We don’t want to be a brand name offering themselves ‘Davidson’s Wellness or ‘Davidson’s Medicinal Tea. We wanted to launch health-conscious teas, however we wanted to make it unique. We wanted to introduce it through an expert, using an ancient practice that has been used for many thousands decades.”
Davidson’s Organics worked with Dr. Suhas Kshirsaga and Dr. Manisha Kshirsaga to market Ayurvedic teas to Western culture. Both are Ayurvedic doctors with more than twenty-five years of experience. They are the directors of Ayurvedic Healing Clinic, which offers panchakarma and diet and lifestyle counseling, Vedic astrology, Vedic counseling, and herbal and medical dietology in Santa Cruz, California.
Dr. Suhas organized Ayurveda into two significant ideas
The mind and the body are intimately connected
The reason is the only power source to transform and heal the body.
Ayurveda is a customized method of health based on the consciousness that takes into account one’s particular mind-body type, also known as dosha, which,h influences one’s choices regarding diet, exercise supplements, and grand style.
Lifestyle explained that while modern medicine tends to treat a specific condition, “Ayurveda instead acts as a holistic system of healing that is focused on overall well-being and health, encouraging harmony. As a healing method, Ayurveda seeks to assist people in achieving the state of being vibrant and full of wellness – physically, emotionally, and physically.”
“Our decades of conducting market studies combined with knowledge led to the creation of the Davidson’s Ayurvedic infusions De-Congest, Detox Digest, Energize Sleep, Laxative and Slim. Each blend has benefits for the 3 “doshas,” or mind-body types.” the doctor said. Suhas continued, “This is accomplished through the use of dosha-balancing components in every Ayurvedic infusion.”
Patel stated, “Our teas are not meant to heal you all in one go. Our teas are created to support your lifestyle choices as well as your body, mind and mind. We’re here to assist you in selecting and make the best lifestyle choices and select our teas as a health management tool to help you make healthier decisions.”
