Matcha is the new superfood. Its delicate, sweet aroma makes it perfect for creating delicious lattes, smoothies, and luxurious shakes. Here’s our recipe for Matcha Latte, made with our ceremonial-grade Matcha. It is sourced from Aichi prefecture, Japan. This is one of our most secret and delicious recipes! :
Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp Tea Trunk Matcha
- 2-3 tablespoons of hot water
- One cup of milk or nut milk (we like almond milk).
- Natural sweetener (use as per your taste). We love honey, cane sugar and stevia.
Directions
- Add 1/2 tsp Tea Trunk Matcha to a cup. Mix it with 2 tsp of water. Use your Tea Trunch Bamboo Whisk for a thorough mix.
- Mix in the remaining water and continue whisking vigorously until Matcha is dissolved.
- You can also add a sweetener of choice.
- In the meantime, heat the milk in a saucepan. Place the prepared Matcha on top.
- A spoonful of milk foam can be added
- For decoration, garnish with a pinch of matcha powder or nutmeg powder.
- Matcha is great with white chocolate so you can sprinkle some shavings over the top.
