Tea is a common way to start and finish the day. Sometimes, we enjoy a refreshing cup of tea at work. Take a moment to think about it. Are you ever tempted to compromise your love of tea by drinking mediocre brews? It could be the quality of the tea leaves or the way it was prepared. You’re correct, we do mean water. Tea is 99 percent water. Follow our steps and you’ll find that your next cup will taste delicious.
Do not use tap water with hard water. Stop! Stop! Tea leaves may lose their nutritional value due to the chemical reaction of tea antioxidants and minerals in the water. Bottled spring water is best. We recommend that you use filtered water if you are unable to use spring water.
We have already discussed the water type to use, but there is another important element that can make or break a perfect cup of coffee. Can you guess? It is important to consider the time taken to brew your tea. Black and Oolong teas should brew for between 2 and 3 minutes. Green and white teas should only be brewed for about 1-3 minutes. You can make your tea stronger by adding more water to the pot and continuing to brew for a longer time. If your tea is too strong, you can add more water. It may take some time to get it right.
It’s possible to affect the taste of tea by how long you wait before drinking it. But that’s another topic. Try some of these gourmet teas before you go.
